Once upon a time, three trees grew in different places, each believing their situation was either the best or the worst.
🌲 The Proud Mountain Tree stood tall at the peak, with big branches reaching for the sky. From above, it boasted that it had the greatest view and could see the entire land. Beside it was a small pond, and it declared itself the king of the world.
🌿 The Confident River Tree grew beside the water, drinking freely whenever it pleased. It was just as boastful, bragging that its location was perfect—its strong stem provided shelter for fish, and it thought of itself as the most valuable tree in the forest.
🥠The Mango Tree, however, complained. It wasn’t near a water source, and it disliked the children climbing its branches, the people picking its fruits, and the villagers sleeping in its shade. It wished to be like the other trees, believing they had better lives.
But then, summer arrived.
🔥 The scorching heat dried up the pond and the river, leaving the mountain and river trees weak and thirsty. Without water to sustain them, they withered, and soon their trunks were cut down and used as wood for houses, chairs, and furniture.
💛 The mango tree, however, thrived. The people watered it daily, enriched its soil with fertilizer, and nurtured it. Its sweet fruits brought joy and nourishment to the community. Families rested under its shade, laughed, played, and enjoyed its gifts. The mango tree became a beloved part of the village, offering comfort, happiness, and even a source of income.
Realizing its true purpose, the mango tree no longer felt envy—it felt gratitude.
From that day forward, it embraced its role with happiness, knowing that true value is not about status or location but about how much good we bring to others.
