Chapter 1: Dreams of Forever

Have you ever loved someone so deeply that you gave them your precious time, love, and everything you had, believing they were the one? Have you ever felt the sting of betrayal when the person who promised you the sun and the moon left you shattered, forcing you to realize that the one you wanted wasn’t the one you needed? This is the story of Jenny and Jeremy, childhood sweethearts who thought their love was enough to last forever.

Jenny and Jeremy’s love story began when they were just kids. Jeremy, five years older than Jenny, was her constant companion and source of comfort. They spent endless days together cooking; Jenny had an insatiable sweet tooth, and Jeremy—though a fan of soups—happily indulged her love for desserts. They were the picture of a lovestruck couple, sharing dreams, laughs, and whispered promises about their future.

By the time Jeremy was 23 and Jenny was 19, their bond had grown stronger. They had mapped out a 10-year plan together—a perfect roadmap to marriage, building a home, raising kids, and building a life full of happiness. Jenny’s parents adored Jeremy, already treating him like the son-in-law they hoped for.

Jenny came from humble beginnings, the daughter of a small shop owner in their quaint little town. In contrast, Jeremy’s parents had successful careers—his mother was a banker, and his father, an engineer, worked overseas. Jeremy was a full-time student pursuing his master’s degree, while Jenny was studying nursing. Despite their differences, their connection felt effortless, a love story in its own right.

Their romance officially began during a summer vacation Jenny and her friends took to a nearby town, famous for its stunning waterfalls. On their first day at the falls, Jenny’s excitement got the better of her, and she slipped on a wet rock, falling into the water. She couldn’t swim and began to panic. Without hesitation, Jeremy jumped in to save her, pulling her to safety.

Her friends and the people around cheered for the heroic act, but Jenny was overcome with shyness. Jeremy, however, simply smiled at her, his eyes reassuring her that everything was fine. From that moment, Jeremy was by her side, assisting her whenever she needed. Over the next three days of their vacation, they spent hours getting to know each other better, sharing their thoughts and dreams, and discovering the beauty in each other.

By the time the trip ended, they were inseparable. The connection they had built during those magical days at the falls would go on to shape their love story, one they believed would stand the test of time.
