In the farthest island of Avian, a hidden paradise untouched by humans, a variety of rare birds thrived. Among them was Kalaya, a dove unlike any other—she could talk and sing like a human, an extraordinary gift that made her stand out.
At first, Kalaya was humble and hardworking, soaring through the skies, gathering food, and singing for her fellow birds. But everything changed the day a group of tourists discovered her talent. They praised her, gifted her chocolates, nuts, and sweets, and treated her like a rare treasure.
Kalaya, enchanted by human admiration, stopped working and relied on the visitors’ gifts. She grew arrogant, boasting about how special she was. Soon, the other birds felt annoyed and distanced themselves, except for her loyal friend, Tia—a gentle, wise dove who cared for Kalaya like a sister.
One day, an old man approached Kalaya, showering her with compliments. He offered her a large bar of chocolate, promising even more if she met him again the next day. Overcome with excitement, Kalaya ignored Tia’s warnings—she had heard rumors that humans had kidnapped endangered birds, but Kalaya refused to believe.
On the next day, the old man returned, bringing an even bigger chocolate bar. Kalaya eagerly ate it, but as soon as she finished, she began to feel dizzy and weak. She collapsed from her tree, and before she knew it, she was locked inside a small cage.
When Kalaya woke up, she heard the sorrowful cries of birds. She was shocked to find herself trapped in a large zoo, surrounded by other rare birds—including her own family members, who had been captured before her. Fear filled the cage as the birds whispered about their fate—some had been sold, others had disappeared, never to be seen again.
That night, the same old man returned with a wealthy buyer, eager to purchase Kalaya at a high price. But thanks to Tia’s teachings, Kalaya suddenly remembered the sacred hymn—a call for help that would summon the warrior birds of Avian.
She sang the ancient melody, her voice carrying through the night sky. Within minutes, a mighty flock of vultures, eagles, and hawks swooped down, breaking open the cages. Even the other animals—monkeys, lions, and wolves—joined the rescue, turning the zoo into chaos.
The old man and his buyer tried to escape, but the birds chased them down. The man tripped over a tree branch, knocking himself unconscious. Soon, the police arrived, arresting him for illegal poaching and wildlife crimes.
Kalaya and her family flew back to Avian, where she humbly apologized to all the birds. She finally understood Tia’s warnings, realizing she had been blinded by vanity and that humans could not always be trusted.
From that day forward, Kalaya never interacted with tourists again. She returned to her old self—singing only for her fellow birds, working alongside them, and living in peace and harmony.
🕊️ She had learned her lesson—a bird’s home was in the wild, not in a cage.
