Long ago, the Kingdom of Sahara flourished under the wise leadership of King Jeron. Known for his intelligence, foresight, and unwavering dedication to his people, he ensured that every crisis was met with careful planning.
The citizens loved him dearly, not just as their ruler, but as a guardian of prosperity. The people of Sahara were known for their hard work and discipline, building a kingdom so rich that it became envied by surrounding nations.
But time is an enemy no king can escape. As King Jeron aged, he entrusted the throne to his only son, King Arthur—a decision that would change the fate of Sahara forever.
The Rise of Laziness & The Fall of a Kingdom
Unlike his father, King Arthur lacked ambition. He believed that being a king alone was enough, dismissing his people’s welfare as something they could handle on their own.
Without a strong leader, the citizens began to mirror his laziness. The once-thriving agricultural lands turned barren, as people abandoned farming in favor of furniture-making—a trade that brought quick, easy wealth.
But with no one planting new trees, the forests began to vanish. Wood was harvested without care, leaving the kingdom scarred and vulnerable.
Then, the disaster came.
A furious typhoon struck Sahara, followed by a merciless dust storm, consuming the land in a wave of destruction. Fields flooded, homes collapsed, and when the storm finally passed—it left behind a barren wasteland.
Rain never returned.
The rivers dried up, the soil cracked, and the once-thriving kingdom became a cursed land where nothing could grow.
A Kingdom on the Brink of Despair
Now, seven months had passed, and Sahara was suffocating under its own failure.
Food had become a luxury, bought at a steep price from neighboring kingdoms. The people starved, reduced to buying only water to survive, rationing every drop. Even their animals withered, unable to produce quality milk or meat.
The reputation of Sahara, once admired, had crumbled into disgrace. The surrounding nations mocked its misfortune, calling it "The Cursed Kingdom."
Desperate and afraid, many citizens began fleeing—enduring ten days of travel on foot just to reach another kingdom that could sustain them.
Faced with the collapse of his rule, King Arthur finally realized his failure. For the first time, fear weighed on his heart. If his people abandoned him, his kingdom would cease to exist.
Seeking salvation, he called upon his advisor: "Find someone—anyone—who can save us."
The Hope That Arrives: The Monkey Siblings
Among those who heard the king’s plea was a neighbor of the legendary Monkey Family.
Without hesitation, he rushed to tell the Monkey Siblings’ parents about Sahara’s plight.
The wise parents did not hesitate. They knew exactly who could take on such a daunting mission—their gifted children: Didi and Dudu.
Didi, blessed with the ability to locate water, and Dudu, a brilliant inventor, were the perfect duo to restore life to the dying kingdom.
Their family gathered supplies, preparing them for their difficult journey.
They packed tools for survival,
Delicious food to sustain the starving villagers,
And most importantly, hope—a belief that Sahara could be saved.
Before leaving, their siblings reassured them: "If you need us, send for us—we’ll come to your rescue anytime."
And so, Didi and Dudu began their journey, carrying the weight of an entire kingdom’s survival on their shoulders.
A Path of Hunger & Desperation
As they traveled, they encountered villagers on the road—families dragging themselves away from Sahara, their faces sunken with hunger.
Didi stepped forward, asking gently: "Where are you going?"
A man, exhausted and weak, sighed deeply: "The kingdom is cursed. The land is dead. There is no food, no water—only suffering. We must leave or we won’t survive."
Didi and Dudu looked at each other, understanding the gravity of Sahara’s downfall.
They couldn’t let more people abandon their home.
With determined voices, they promised to save the kingdom—if the people would stay and trust them.
Desperate for hope, the villagers listened.
The siblings quickly prepared food, offering them nourishing vegetable soup, roasted sweet potatoes, and fresh water they carried with them.
For the first time in months, the villagers felt full. Their energy returned, their spirits lifted, and a faint spark of hope flickered in their hearts.
The journey to save Sahara had begun.
